MALAYSIA – Malaysia has approved a $70 million deal with U.S.-based ocean infinity to resume the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which vanished in 2014 with 239 people on board.

The “no find, no fee” agreement will focus on a 15,000 sq km area in the Southern Indian Ocean, using new data deemed credible.

Ocean infinity CEO Oliver Plunkett called the decision “great news” with search terms to be finalized in early 2025.

Families of victims welcome the move, hoping it will finally bring closure.

MH370 remains one of aviation’s greatest mysteries.
