NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Accused double murderer Blake Strachan will remain bars until his trial.

Strachan is accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend Allison Thompson and her 14-year-old daughter Trevornika Thompson.

They were last seen alive at their Ross Corner apartment on April 11, 2023.

Police found their decomposing bodies in there on April 14 when they went to investigate the source of a foul odor.

In denying bail, Senior Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson said there was no unreasonable delay in the case and that his trial is set to begin in May 2025.

The judge also said given the rise in retaliatory killings, Strachan was refused bail for his own safety.
