NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Academy of Science, dedicated to promoting excellence in science and its application in decision-making, officially launched at the Balmoral Club on Friday evening. The Academy aims to create a networking hub for scientists and to foster collaboration both locally and internationally to address societal challenges.

“We want to bring all those scientists together but also connect them to scientists that are doing work internationally so that we can better tackle issues impacting our society.”

Dr. Sherman emphasized the Academy’s strong membership of 17 members, with plans for further growth.

“The academy consists of about seventeen individuals, twelve full members, and five contributors making significant progress in their fields.”
