NASSAU , THE BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Basketball Federation announced its roster for window two of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Americas Qualifiers.

The roster included Samuel Hunter, Franco Miller, Garvin Clarke, Isaiah Mobley, Tavario Miller, Godfrey Rolle, Kentwan Smith, Radshad Davis, Jackson Jacobs and newcomer Jacob Hanna will represent the country in two crucial road matchups.

The Bahamas will face Jamaica on February 27 in Kingston and then take on Puerto Rico in San Juan on March 1.

In window one back in November, The Bahamas opened with an 0-2 record against Canada falling 111-75 at home before a much improved 94-88 performance on the road.

Clarke, Mobley and Davis are the leading scorers returning from the first window.

The Bahamas is fourth in Group B, but can neither qualify or be eliminated over the course of the next two games.

NBA

In NBA action on Tuesday night, Deandre Ayton and VJ Edgecombe both made big contributions for their respective teams.

Starting out in L.A, Ayton was one of the bright spots in a heartbreaking 110–109 loss to the Orlando Magic.

He finished with 21 points on 8-11 shooting and a game high 13 rebounds.

After going 4-4 on their latest home stand, the Lakers are 34-23, sixth in the Western Conference.

On the other side of the country, Edgecombe was again a leading force for the Philadelphia 76ers in their 135–114 rout of the Indiana Pacers.

He continues to put up rookie-of-the-year numbers on a winning team with 23 points on 9-13 shooting and seven rebounds.

Post All-Star break, Edgecombe is averaging 21.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, while shooting an efficient 53 percent from the field, including better than 45 percent from three-point range, highlighted by a career-high six made threes against Minnesota.

MLB

It has been an active spring training thus far for Bahamian Pro-baseball players.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. continued to set the tone in grapefruit league play for the New York Yankees.

He had an RBI single to right and scored a run in the Yankees’ 8-7 win over the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday in Dunedin, Florida.

Over in Cubs camp, Bj Murray Jr. Led the Chicago Cubs to a 6 – 5 win over the San Diego Padres yesterday in Cactus League play.

He went 2-3 with a double, two RBI’s and a run scored.

Also in the Cactus League, Kristian Robinson got his first hit of the spring and scored a run in the Arizona Diamondbacks 6–4 win over the Texas Rangers.
