Bahamians Honored in National Honors Ceremony
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Hundreds of Bahamians receiving the investiture of national honors today at Baha Mar Resort.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Hundreds of Bahamians receiving the investiture of national honors today at Baha Mar Resort.
Among the recipients were clergymen, former politicians, and five retired commissioners of police.
Prime Minister Philip Davis addressing the honorees saying each honoree has a unique and important story that is mixed into the fabric of Bahamian history.
The contributions were recognized in categories of Order of The Bahamas, the highest civilian honor, the Honor of Distinction and the Order of Merit.
Foreign Affairs Minister Fred Mitchell stressed the importance of highlighting those who worked to make The Bahamas what it is today.
