NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – This evening in Our Entertainment and Arts Segment, we invite you to experience one of the most significant ceremonies for Cable Bahamians, a night dedicated to honoring Cable Bahamas’ exceptional employees.
Of course, Denielle Miller was there to give you all the details.
Another year, another Epic night.
Margaritaville welcomed Cable Bahamas Group of Companies for its annual employee honors, The Epic Awards.
This event honored individuals who’ve surpassed expectations during the business’s fiscal year. Friday evening marked the culmination of CBL’s quarterly staff awards.
The top prizes included an undisclosed cash amount, a cruise adventure, and a two-week getaway to Spain.
The manager of the year recipient, Janelle Hutcheson, was granted a vacation to any destination of her choice within the United States, along with cash and paid time off.
During her acceptance speech, she expressed her surprise, however, I had one important question.
“Where you going? Well I’m thinking about New Orleans, I haven’t been there. I’ve been to the LA, the Vegas, the New York so maybe I’ll try New Orleans. “
CBL also took the opportunity during the ceremony to recognize their long-time employees- those individuals who started their journey in the company 10, 15, and 25 years ago.
“How long have you been with the company? Twenty short years. Like 25 whole years? Short years, 25 short years. Why did you say it was short? Because that’s how young I am” – ALIV CEO, John Gomez
“You’re here celebrating with your coworkers but do you have family here? My husband’s here. And how does he feel about you being honored tonight? he’s excited I mean he has seen me, toiling sometimes he’s seen me put int he time put in the work. “ – 15 Year Honoree
Also on the list of honorees was Our News OB & Studio Coordinator Joey Butler and Chief Editor Christon Seymour.
“Ten years came by so so fast. I mean like I met some of my closest fiends here with the company I was able to learn a lot. I was able to pour into other people whether it was my colleagues or interns you know it’s a great feeling. Now you could tell Chris is nervous cause I asked you how does it feel being in front of the camera but my boy gone straight into he spiel you was ready though. You come dress ready you come dress you is my dawg. “
I also caught up with Cable Bahamas CEO Franklyn Butler who candidly informed me that a price tag can’t be placed on recognizing those who go above and beyond.
“Not everybody has our people. When we hear the feedback on our technicians, the feedback on our customer service reps, our cashiers they are exceptional. So it really is not a matter of can we afford to it’s we can not afford not to” – CEO Franklyn Butler
The evening ended on a high note, with an open dance floor accompanied by music from both a live band and a dj.
