Day One of Swim Competition Gets Underway

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – Goodwill Games swim competition has already begun at the Jamaica Aquatics Center but we had to find out from the coaches how the first set of team practices went; head coach Dellan Brown.

KINGSTON, JAMAICA – Goodwill Games swim competition has already begun at the Jamaica Aquatics Center but we had to find out from the coaches how the first set of team practices went; head coach Dellan Brown.

Assistant Coach Dwayne Davis Jr. spoke to us about his overall expectations.

Essential to being competition ready has to do with health and wellness. The team doctor is Dr. William Hamilton.

Saturday and Sunday competition will begin at 9am.

Meanwhile, Jonquel Jones and the New York Liberty played the Las Vegas Aces for the third time this week,

The Las Vegas Aces won the game Thursday night 88-75. 

The Aces lost to the Liberty twice this week by almost 60 points combined so it was important to them to finally pull one off in their home floor. 

JJ had eight points and eight rebounds for the Libs while Sabrina Ionescu led the squad with 22 and four rebounds. 

Aja Wilson of the Aces went 2 for 24 in the previous two games against the Liberty but she was finally able to get the monkey off her back and score 21 points. Chelsea Gray had a triple double for the Aces with 22, 11, and 11.

JJ and the squad will try to rebound Friday night against the Phoenix Mercury.
