NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Leading environmentalists gave the media a first hand view of their concerns surrounding the potential environmental impact of the proposed Royal Caribbean Beach Club Project on Paradise Island.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Leading environmentalists gave the media a first hand view of their concerns surrounding the potential environmental impact of the proposed Royal Caribbean Beach Club Project on Paradise Island.
Environmentalists Eric Carey, Joe Darville, and Gail Woon led the way through the natural shrubbery leading from the Harbourside Beach to the northern shore this morning, where they began noting the numerous environmental concerns they have for the area.
While Royal Caribbean International provided some answers about the project, Eric Carey president and CEO of one consultants wants more.
The environmentalists have released a fact sheet on the project, where the group pushes for a more transparent review process, requesting online public access to all documents related to the beach project submitted to the government by Royal Caribbean.
They also push for the publishing of an environmental review timeline by April 30th, 2023, with a complete schedule of town halls and public comment period.
