NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Campaign anti-corruption laws and campaign finance isn’t topping the government’s agenda at the moment, according to the prime minister. PM Davis says his focus is on the thousands of Bahamians in need.

That’s Prime Minister Philip Davis’ response when asked when his government will deliver anti-corruption legislation as promised.

In the Progressive Liberal Party’s blueprint for change, the Davis administration committed to an anti-corruption act among other things.

Anti-corruption legislation was also promised by the former minnis administration but was ultimately not delivered.

Davis telling reporters today that, at the moment, there’s sufficient legislation to fight corruption.

In addition to anti-corruption legislation, the ‘New Day’ government also committed to campaign finance reform. Another promise also made by the Minnis administration that was not delivered.
