NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Ole Miss Lady Rebels are the champions in The Bahamas, winning the Battle4Atlantis women’s tournament early Monday over Michigan 60-49.

Leading for most of the game, the team got many defensive stops.

One of the lead scorers for the Rebels was Madison Scott, who had a double-double in the two previous games. She also won the MVP with 10 points and seven boards.

She also spoke about Madison’s MVP play.

It’s not over  – the men’s portion of the tournament will kick off on Wednesday.

They came from Paris, London, Italy, Canada, the United States and throughout the Caribbean to participate in Sunday’s Bahamas Half Marathon.

The event course took runners through western New Providence with the finish at Arawak Cay.

Top finisher on the women’s side was Yunelis Lightbourne who spoke about her performance.

Bahamas Roadmasters Running Club President Anastacia Turnquest spoke to the event, where the title sponsor was Cancer Treatment Center of the Americas, City of Hope.
