NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Former Health Minister and Member of Parliament for Killarney, Dr. Hubert Minnis says residents are very concerned about conditions within the Princess Margaret Hospital.

He says the public hospital caters primarily to the average Bahamian but residents are losing confidence, particularly after sharing this shocking situation.

Health and Wellness Minister Dr. Michael Darville, admitted to the longstanding issues plaguing PMH and other tertiary health facilities, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to address infrastructural challenges.

Dr. Darville assured residents of a forthcoming state-of-the-art facility for New Providence.

Meanwhile, he says the ministry remains committed to maintaining and operating the existing institution, ensuring qualified professionals deliver care under challenging circumstances.

Now while the minister did not provide a timeline for the completion of the work, he says Bahamians will be pleased with the improvements.
