NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Office of The Prime Minister and the Ministry of Economic Affairs officially launched the first of several social initiatives planned.

The initiative – Bahamas Park Connect – is geared at providing free wi-fi access in constituency parks throughout the country.

Our News team was able to visit Kennedy Park in Bamboo Town and spoke to area MP Patricia Deveaux. She said the initiative was one of the promises made in the Progressive Liberal Party’s Blueprint For Change.

Delmaro Duncombe, Cable Bahamas’ Director of Sales and Innovation, shares why it was important for the company to jump on board with the government to make this initiative possible.

Other parks where the free wi-fi was launched include the New Bight Regatta Site in Cat Island, Harbour Island Park in North Eleuthera and in New Providence – Centerville Park, Bougainvillea Park in South Beach, Garden Hills Park, Sunshine Park in Golden Gates among others.
