NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It is a staple tourist attraction and one that is loved and enjoyed by locals alike.
This past Friday, the Garden of the Groves celebrated 50 years as a leading tour on Grand Bahama.
Park Manager, Marilyn Laing, reflects on the evolution of the garden, a history that still invokes a sense of nostalgia for many Grand Bahamians.
And even without the exotic animals, the garden still has lots to offer, with a special tribute garden to be created soon.
Laing says the garden, for many, is a place of learning and relaxation but, it also offers some other exciting activities.
