Fun is serious business at Celebration Key and with this group they may not be the ones greeting guests or leading tours, but their work powers every corner of Celebration Key.
Whether its the kitchen, the security of the port, managing the logistics.
These back-of-house leaders are the engine behind the experience and for many of them, this is more than just a job, it’s a chance to make history.
For assistant controller Llereva Roker, she says the moment means a lot

“I really appreciate it to be a part of it to see this come from.It was like 9 of us in the office to a full full team and its actually happening its going to impact the economy of Freeport.”
The back-of-house managers are happy to be apart of the team and they’re all getting ready for the official opening day, which is July 19th.

Maceo Wood – Site Engineer at Celebration Key
“Our team is about 83 personnel and were managing those on location right now.We have three different ships, trying to make sure that each individual understands their task and assignment once that ship hits the port..We want all of our guest to experience that wow factor when they get there.”

Port security manager Roshan Rane and deputy port facility security manager Murugan Anaiappan are new to Grand Bahama, but no strangers to carnival.
They say working in Grand Bahama has already been a standout experience.

And with less two months before opening, these managers like Kenwood Taylor, manager of Global Destinations and Port Facilities security officer Rodney Lightbourne are putting in the work behind the curtain to help Grand Bahama take center stage.

“I work directly carnival the bosses and so were trying to align ourselves and ensure that celebration key is to the very max..We want to mimic celebration key with all of our ports.”

“I would consider us to be very competent and I would say that not just because I’m a part of the team but because I see the preparation thats going into ensuring that we are ready for July 19th.”
