NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Stakeholders in the New Year’s Day Junkanoo parade coming to an agreement after a meeting with the prime minister.

The prime minister, minister of state with responsibility for the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas, Myles Laroda, the Junkanoo Corporation of New Providence, BTC, BCB, and officials from Aliv, coming to an agreement on how the New Year’s Day Junkanoo parade will be broadcasted.

Youth, Sports and Culture Minister Mario Bowleg, says the prime minister’s intent is to ensure that Junkanoo will be enjoyed by everyone, nationally and internationally.

Bowleg says all parties put their differences aside for the greater good of the country.

Branding will also be adjusted.
