Man Extradited From U.S. Gets 18-Month Sentence For Skipping Bail

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An accused gun trafficker who fled the country in breach of his $60,000 bail has been sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An accused gun trafficker who fled the country in breach of his $60,000 bail has been sentenced to 18 months’ imprisonment.

Larry Burrows was extradited to The Bahamas from Florida last month.

Burrows pleaded guilty to violation of bail when he appeared before Magistrate Samuel McKinney for his trial.

Burrows admitted to failing to sign in at the Quakoo Street Police Station and keep on multiple occasions between May 29, 2022 and February 8, 2024.

Burrows’ trial for conspiracy to import firearms is still pending.

He’s accused of plotting with others to import 15 firearms of various caliber into the country between November 2017 to September 2020.
