NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man has been jailed for eight years for his role in the death of a man who was killed in a road rage attack.

Jonathan Griffin, 22, and his teenage passenger dragged Andrew Lloyd Sturrup from his car after they got into a traffic accident on Palm Tree Avenue on February 2, 2021.

As they both beat Sturrup, Griffin’s passenger pulled a knife and fatally stabbed him.

They fled the scene together however, they were arrested soon after and charged with Sturrup’s murder.

Griffin pleaded guilty Tuesday to causing dangerous harm to Sturrup as part of a plea deal.

He was sentenced to eight years’ imprisonment, less the five months he had spent in custody before he was freed on bail.
