NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Obey our laws. That’s the message from Prime Minister Philip Davis today, speaking to the vexing issue of immigration. The PM made it clear that his administration is addressing it.

One day after the immigration minister sent a bold warning to illegal immigrants in The Bahamas to leave or be deported, Prime Minister Philip Davis doubled down.

The response comes amid public outcry over what some Bahamians are calling an immigration crisis.

Minister responsible Keith Bell previously shot down that claim, however, in Parliament on Wednesday, bell revealed a significant increase in migrant interceptions over the past two years.

Many have criticized the davis administration saying, it’s dragging its feet on the issue.

Well, today the prime minister hit back.

On Tuesday, a group of protestors led by a Coalition of Independents Leader Lincoln Bain spoke out on immigration.

According to the Prime Minister, this isn’t a new issue.
