NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of the murders of close relatives of a jailed drug lord and an alleged gang leader should remain behind bars for his safety, prosecutors have argued.

Rashawn Wallace, also known as Shawny, has been awaiting trial for four years for the March 11, 2022 murders of Theodore Knowles, the son of Samuel “Ninety” Knowles, and Vernal “Boss” Stubbs, the brother of Stephen “Tiger” Stubbs, the alleged leader of the Tiger Nation.

Wallace, whom prosecutors allege is an enforcer for the Grove Hot Niggas gang, has applied for bail, citing multiple delays in bringing the case to trial.

He has denied any gang affiliation.

Despite the delays, prosecutors say Wallace is safer behind bars.

Knowles and Stubbs were shot outside of a home in Eighth Street.

Justice Guillimina Archer-Minns has reserved her decision.
