Residents of Demolished Building Get New Home
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Some residents of the demolished Freeport Garden Resort now have a new place to call home, thanks to a partnership with the Ministry for Grand Bahama and the Grand Bahama Port Authority.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Some residents of the demolished Freeport Garden Resort now have a new place to call home, thanks to a partnership with the Ministry for Grand Bahama and the Grand Bahama Port Authority.
The joint effort helped place those residents in a transitional home located on Tripp Circle.
The transition homes are for people who have been through a lot and need a place of their own as they try to rebuild their lives.
Mallfredo Duncombe is one of four Freeport Garden Resort residents, who says he is grateful.
Duncombe lived at the Freeport Garden Resort since 2014 because at the time, it was affordable.
Another former resident of the Freeport Garden Resort, Trevor Morley is also grateful, but says wants to do more with his life and he needs help.
Morely says a barber kit can help him make an honest living
Minister for Grand Bahama Ginger Moxey says they want to see the occupants of the home thrive.
