GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Grand Bahama residents are sharing their thoughts on recently announced projects, with many saying while they’ve heard the promises before, they are hopeful the plans will come to fruition.

Godfrey Waugh, president of Waugh Construction, sums up the thoughts of most Grand Bahamians. This, as two major projects were announced as potential economic jump starters for the island – the long awaited redevelopment of a new airport and construction of an historic solar plant.

Diane Phillips of Diane Phillips and Associates says she hopes the plant can be duplicated throughout the country.
