U.S.A – New York Yankees’ second baseman, Jazz Chisholm Jr. helped his team tie up their wild card series Wednesday night with a 4-3 win over the Boston Red Sox.

Despite struggling from the plate, going 0-3, he still managed to put the exclamation point on the thrilling victory, reaching first base via a walk in the 8th inning.

Two batters later, Austin Wells would smoke a single to right field, allowing Jazz to get on his horse, beating the throw home from sox outfielder Nate Eaton, evading the tag at the plate to put his team over the top.

Ben Rice went 2-4 with a two-run home run, and Aaron Judge also went 2-4 with an RBI.

Carlos Rodon started for the Yankees, going six innings, giving up three runs on four hits.

Fernando Lopez pitched the Yankees out of a bases-loaded boondoggle in the 7th inning with a little help from Jazz’s glove at second base, which allowed Jazz to even be in position score the go-ahead run.
