NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Sand Dollar digital currency was rolled out in October 2020 and on April 26th, the Governor of the Central Bank of The Bahamas is expected on the island of Grand Bahama to provide more information to residents.

Director of the Tax and Research Committee for the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce Remiro Russell, shared how using the sand dollar works once you download the app.

Russell explains that at this time, each entity must have the Sand Dollar app in order to complete transactions.
