NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As the country prepares to celebrate 50 years as an independent nation, one proud daughter is doing her part to celebrate the legacy of her late father, Percival Wentworth “Wenty” Ford. Dr. Wentia Ford, Founder and President of the Wenty Ford Sports Foundation shares just a little about her father’s professional start in the major leagues.

The foundation was founded last september but will be open to children in the Centreville community this September. The program will run concurrent with the traditional school year.

The program will be free to students and Dr. Ford says she’s hoping the corporate community can assist, whether financially, through donations or volunteerism.
