Woman Testified She Was Gang Raped at 14-Years-Old

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A woman testified that she was gang raped by two men and sexually assaulted by a third man when she was 14.

The alleged victim, now 21, was testifying in the trial of Cleveland McPhee, the only person charged in the case.

The witness testified that she left her New Providence home at around 10pm on June 25, 2018 to walk to the store.

She testified that she sought shelter in a half-finished building at the junction of Market Street and Wulff Road after it started to rain.

The woman said the accused and four other men forced her into a storage room in that building.

She said she tried to fight them off with a shovel but was overpowered.

She said she bit one of the men and he bit her shoulder.

The woman said McPhee and another man raped her and a third man touched her breasts and genitals, as two other men laughed at her.

The woman said she ran to the Quakoo Street Police Station to report the matter.
