NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Millions of dollars have been allocated to carry out road works across the country.

With some of that work already completed, Works and Family Island Affairs Minister Clay Sweeting says it is all about ensuring the country’s infrastructure is on par with standards set worldwide.

Sweeting says seven contracts are up for tender with the bidding process ending shortly.

And with 25 miles of roads paved last year, and 65 miles still left to be completed Sweeting says work is going smoothly.

Sweeting says the ministry understands the frustration these works can cause and once again pleads for patience.
