Team Bahamas Returns Home After 2025 Goodwill Games Victory

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Following the closing ceremonies on Sunday night, Team Bahamas traveled back in style, arriving at Lynden Pindling International Airport aboard a 138-seater Bahamasair jet from Grantley Adams International in Barbados just before 5pm Monday.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Following the closing ceremonies on Sunday night, Team Bahamas traveled back in style, arriving at Lynden Pindling International Airport aboard a 138-seater Bahamasair jet from Grantley Adams International in Barbados just before 5pm Monday.

On arrival, the team was whisked through customs and immigration and greeted by Director of Sports Kelsie Johnson-Sills and Bahamas Olympic Committee Secretary General Derron Donaldson.

Once outside, the celebration began.

The 40-member team was then escorted to the VIP lounge where a short ceremony was held in their honor.

It was a grueling three days of competition in Barbados as The Bahamas edged out Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, who took second and third place respectively.

During the ceremony, team captain Madyson Julien also addressed the team.

The team finished with 1,324 points and 110 medals beating out Jamaica in second and Trinidad and Tobago in third who rounded out the top three teams.

Our News understands that next year’s games will be held in Trinidad & Tobago.
