House Speaker: “We Are Independent and Autonomous”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – House of Assembly Speaker Patricia Deveaux insists the Bahamas’ Parliament is independent; her comments come nearly five years after former House Speaker Halson Moultrie criticized Parliament’s lack of independence from the executive branch.
