NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The son of a Lyford Hills resident is accused of attempting to kill the gated community’s developer.

Johnny Swann Jr., 27, made his first court appearance before acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans and is charged with the attempted murder of Tennyson Wells Jr.

Wells was headed to his self-named restaurant Tennyson’s in Lyford Hills when a gunman alleged to be Swann emerged from bushes and opened fire.

He was shot in the shoulder and buttocks.

Swann was not required to enter a plea to the charge and was denied bail.

He returns to court on October 1 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
