NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A trial date has been set for two men accused of the armed robbery and kidnapping of well-known businessman Andrew Wilson.

Dominic Stuart and Akandi Gibson will be tried on July 8, 2024.

Prosecutors say the men forced their way into Wilson’s Westridge home around 9pm on December 30, 2021.

They allegedly tied up the family and robbed them of jewelry and cash before they took Wilson and his wife to their store, QBC Electronics, at the Mall at Marathon.

While there, they allegedly forced Wilson to give them money from his store’s safe.

In all, the robbers got away with $65,000. They also took Wilson’s Jeep.

Stuart is in custody and Gibson is on bail.

A third defendant, Randy Williams, was murdered on June 12, 2022 while on bail for the case.

Williams was shot and ambushed by two men as he left the A. F. Adderley gym. His murder remains unsolved.
