American Man Admits to Stealing $40K Rolex From SPA Locker at Grand Hyatt

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An American man has admitted to stealing a Rolex watch from a locker at a spa at the Grand Hyatt.

Michael Capolongo, 39, of Jupiter, Florida, was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine to avoid a six-month prison sentence.

The theft happened when the American victim left his belongings in the locker before heading to the spa for a massage on July 8.

Capolongo was also in the locker room at the time.

When the victim returned to get his cellphone, his $40,000 Rolex Submariner was missing.

Police found the stolen watch inside Capolongo’s bag and he was arrested.

The watch was returned to its owner.

Capolongo pleaded guilty to stealing at his arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Shaka Serville.
