CHICAGO, USA – Jonquel Jones is your 2026 WNBA All-Star game MVP.

The 6’6″ center from Grand Bahama had herself a night, scoring 22 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, dishing out 8 assists all of the bench to lead her squad, team Teresa Witherspoon, in all three categories to power them to a 129-122 win over Team Cynthia Cooper.

Her points came on 8-17 shooting, and she showed her range all game, making 4 of her 11 three-point attempts. She was also a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line.

Allisha Gray had 19 points, and Caitlin Clark chipped in 17 points.

Kelcey Mitchell had a game-high 28 for team Coop.

This MVP is the latest in an increasingly compelling Hall of Fame case for JJ.

In her 10 seasons in the league, she’s won Most Improved Player, 6th Woman of the Year, made the All-Star team 6 times, she’s been an All-WNBA first or 2nd team 5 times and an All-Defense first or 2nd team 4 times.

And she doesn’t seem close to done yet.

The Bahamas played their hearts out yesterday, dueling tournament points leader Cayman to a 1-1 stalemate in the 2026 girls U-15 Beach Soccer Cup yesterday morning at the Roscow Davies Field.

Parris Saunders scored the lone goal for The Bahamas, while Sandy Sanchez scored for Cayman.

Cayman beat Grenada 7-0 last night, but they had no answers for The Bahamas’ stout defense.

Our girls pulled themselves together, turned around and beat Grenada 2-0 in last night’s game as well.

Ameerah Ann Knowles had a brace, providing all of the team’s offense.

The tournament is a marathon and not a sprint, and after playing two matches yesterday, our girls had to get up this morning and play Bermuda, who they fell to 4-1.

Parris Saunders was the lone goal scorer for The Bahamas.
