NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Several parks and beaches on New Providence will soon have a new look as two government organizations partner to bring life to these community hubs.

The partnership between the Bahamas Public Parks and Beaches Authority and the Ministry of Works, will kick off on some of the island’s most popular beaches.

McKell Bonaby, chairman of the Authority, says beaches play an important role in quality family time and Bahamian culture.

Bonaby says there is no fixed timeline for the project, as it will be an ongoing initiative.
