Anti-Bullying Club Established At GB Schools
FREEPORT, BAHAMAS – A-B-C – it’s the acronym for the Anti-Bullying Club in Grand Bahama started by twin sisters Jada and Jerrel Strachan.
FREEPORT, BAHAMAS -A-B-C – it’s the acronym for the Anti-Bullying Club started by twin sisters Jada and Jerrel Strachan. Our Megan shepherd spoke with co-founder, Jerrell Strachan, who says she believes the vexing issue can be eradicated.
It started in primary school when Jada Strachan became the victim of bullying.
In high school, she entered a pageant and her platform focused on bullying.
From there, the Anti-Bullying Club was started at St. Georges High School along with her sister, Jerrell.
Jerrell, now in university, says the club has grown to schools across Grand Bahama.
To parents, Strachan says you must create open lines of communication, be cognizant of your child’s moods and be aware of their friends.
Strachan says although bullying is a challenge in local schools, she is confident that it can be eradicated.
