NASSAU, BAHAMAS – They won’t rest and neither should you. That is the message of the Coalition of Child Advocates as they celebrate the life of four-year-old baby D’Onya Bella Walker Smith, who was tragically murdered one year ago.

President of The Coalition of Child Advocates, Patrice Hanna-Carey, calling on the government to not let up as it relates to the protection of children.

President of Rise Bahamas, Ternielle Burrows, noting that Bella’s bill, which was submitted to the Office of The Attorney General and the Ministry of Social Services, seeks to amend the existing Child Protection Act and mandate that stewarts of children report suspected cases of abuse.

President of Human Rights Bahamas, Stephanie st. Fleur also calling on the government to do more in protecting the little darlings of the nation.
