NASSAU, BAHAMAS – With Christmas less than a week away, holiday travel is picking up, especially to the nation’s second city.

Elva Johnson and her family have flown in from their home in Eleuthera to spend Christmas up north.

Johnson experienced some hiccups with her travel, but stayed positive.

Barrington Brennan came all the way home from where he now lives in the United States.

Brennan also experienced some of the holiday travel challenges.

Charlene Harris came in with her granddaughters and is excited not only to see her family but also for the return of Freeport Junkanoo.
