GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A disturbing video sent shockwaves across the country over the weekend as a Port Lucaya security officer was punched, kicked and dragged by a group of teenagers.

Managing Director for the Port Lucaya Marketplace Ivan Moss called the incident unfortunate, explaining the security officer found it difficult to fight children.

Chief Security Officer Dereck Hunter says the battered officer is at home recovering from his injuries.

Moss says there are proper security measures in place but admits that the marketplace is having a serious challenge managing teenagers on the property.

But he is blaming the parents for the actions of the children and is asking them to not send their kids to the marketplace unattended.
