Tourists Bid Farewell To Pope Benedict

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Tourists visiting Rome joined a steady stream of tens of thousands of people into St. Peter’s Basilica to pay their respects to former Pope Benedict the 16th.

Benedict died on Saturday at the age of 95 in the secluded Vatican Monastery where he had lived since his shock resignation in 2013.

The body of Benedict will lie in state in the Basilica for three days before his funeral on January 5th which will be held in St. Peter’s Square, in front of the Basilica.
