CEO of Largest Black Publication in Florida Honored

FLORIDA – A special group of distinguished men honored this week at the 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship breakfast in Miami, Florida.

Rich Black is the CEO and Publisher of Onyx Magazine, the largest black publication in the state of Florida he says the magazine was birthed in 1997 out of Jacksonville.

Black is a second generation owner of the publication, having purchased it from its original owners. 

The publisher was among a number of men honored at the 30th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. scholarship breakfast in Miami, Florida.

He was also recognized as a member of the 5,000 role models of excellence project, a mentorship program for at risk young men.
