NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas will be hosting the 13th Commonwealth Women’s Affairs Ministers Meeting later this summer, but the thought of women’s issues being discussed here has many asking if there has been progress with marital rape legislation.

Social Services Minister, Obie Wilchcombe says talks with church leaders and stakeholders are still ongoing.

While Wilchcombe has never officially declared a deadline for input, he has previously stated that he hopes progress could be made by March, before International Women’s Day.
