NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Ministry of Finance and the Royal Bahamas Police Force are still recovering money from the food program that was launched under the former Minnis administration.

That’s coming from Labour and Immigration Minister Keith Bell who told parliamentarians that officials recovered $100,000 just last week.

Bell gave no further details into the findings.

The Food Distribution Task Force was chaired by Susan Larson, who has previously said there are comprehensive records related to the program.

The Davis administration took issue with the program that was intended to last 12 weeks but was in operation for 70 weeks with $53 million in funding.
