Gas Wholesalers Seeking Price Hike

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Petroleum retailers plight for an increased margin on gas prices continues to grab headlines. The head of a major gas wholesaler gives his take on the matter.

For the past few weeks, gas retailers have been back and forth with government on a proposed increased margin.

The latest update coming from Prime Minister Phillip Davis calling discussions with the Petroleum Retailers Association fruitful.

Chair of Sunshine Holdings Limited Sir Franklyn Wilson says government has also engaged wholesalers in the discussions.

He says they to are also seeking an increased margin adding they feel the plight of the retailers.

Sir Franklyn says while he understands the concerns of the retailers, he believes proper research will better their fight.
