NASSAU, BAHAMAS – On Friday, The Bahamas will host the 50th CARIFTA games at the Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium.

Officials at the Royal Bahamas Police Force are stressing that there will be heavy police presence in the surrounding areas to ensure the safety of all.

The games will commence with an opening ceremony at 4pm on Friday, and Officer -in- Charge of Public Safety and Operational Support, ACP Craig Stubbs says there will be strict traffic management in place, beginning at 1pm.

He’s also warning those who plan to attend the games to leave anything that can be used as a weapon at home.

Police are also advising attendees to secure their vehicles leaving valuables at home.

ACP Stubbs says police will tolerate no disruptions.
