BPSU Slams Changes to Officers’ Insurance Policies
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Public Services Union president is standing in agreement with law enforcement officers who aren’t happy with an upcoming change to insurance policies that will impact hundreds of new officers.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Bahamas Public Services Union president is standing in agreement with law enforcement officers who aren’t happy with an upcoming change to insurance policies that will impact hundreds of new officers.
Bahamas Public Services Union President Kimsley Ferguson standing in solidarity with law enforcement officers who have recently been hit with news of a new insurance policy.
The change, which will only apply to new officers after July 1st, allows for single-family coverage,the addition of other family members will require additional payment.
It’s a decision Ferguson says he believes was made by government to be cost effective.
Ferguson says there could have been consultation to arrive at a decision where there would have been a lesser impact.
