NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men accused of pretending to be police officers before robbing a woman of $4,000 are behind bars.

Prosecutors allege that Leroy Estime and Frero Senat were dressed as police officers when they went to Mary Alexandre’s home at Dumping Ground Corner on June 20.

The armed men allegedly took an envelope that contained $4,000 while searching her home.

Estime and Senat didn’t have to enter pleas to charges of housebreaking and armed robbery when they appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley.

They return to court on October 5 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
