GB Chamber President: We’re Looking For A Turnaround
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce President James Carey says that although the economy in Grand Bahama is still not the best, he remains optimistic that things will begin to take shape on the northern island.
GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce President James Carey says that although the economy in Grand Bahama is still not the best, he remains optimistic that things will begin to take shape on the northern island.
Carey believes that what Grand Bahama needs now is more investments and the return of big business.
In a national address on Sunday, the nation’s leader Prime Minister Philip Davis noted that his administration is calling on the Grand Bahama Port Authority to live up to their obligations.
The two have not seen eye to eye recently, and Carey believes there needs to be a resolution to restore the state of the island’s economy.
Meanwhile, as plans are progressing for the new carnival cruise port in east Grand Bahama which was recently named Carnival Celebration Key, the chamber chief says it is their hope that the entire island benefits.
