NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man accused of a fatal nightclub shooting that was caught on surveillance video is behind bars.

Prosecutors say Antonio Neely is esponsible for the February 26 murder of Deiondre Demeritte.

Both men were at a nightclub in Harbour Island, Eleuthera when Neely allegedly shot Demeritte multiple times.

Neely didn’t have to enter pleas to the murder charge when he appeared before Assistant Chief Magistrate Carolyn Vogt-Evans.

Bail was denied and he returns to court on July 3 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.

At the time of his murder, Demeritte was on bail for murder and attempted murder. The charges stemmed from a 2015 shooting.
