PENNSYLVANIA – Bryan Hagerich of Somerset, Pennsylvania, returned home Friday after being arrested in the Caribbean for illegally carrying ammunition. Hagerich, reunited with his family at pittsburgh international airport, expressed relief, saying, “After 101 days, I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders.”

He received a suspended sentence in Turks and Caicos, where he was one of five Americans facing similar charges. The British territory tightened gun laws in 2022 due to rising gun violence. Hagerich was fined $6,700 and will avoid serving his sentence if he stays out of trouble for a year.

US Senator John Fetterman and other officials advocated for Hagerich’s release. “The support was incredible,” Gagerich said. “My biggest concern now is coaching my kids’ baseball games.”
