NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Created to help deserving Bahamian students pursue a career in medicine in their home country, the Western Atlantic University School of Medicine Bahamian Scholarship seeks to benefit its recipients and the Bahamian community.

Local practitioner, assistant professor, and member of the scholarship committee Dr. Teykia Deveaux explains how it all works. Some Bahamians have already benefited since the university opened its doors in 2022.

Dr. Deveaux outlined how people can apply and detailed the requirements. She also noted that the way their classes are crafted is unique.
