Badly Burned Body Found In Car Near Grand Bahama Highway

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A person was found burned beyond recognition in a Japanese Nissan Cube, fully charred near the Sir Jack Hayward Bridge in East Grand Bahama Thursday.

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – A person was found burned beyond recognition in a Japanese Nissan Cube fully charred near the Sir Jack Hayward Bridge in East Grand Bahama, when police made the shocking discovery Thursday morning. 

Onlookers quickly coming to the area as the news spread throughout the community, where emotions ran high on the scene.

The pathologist from the Rand Memorial Hospital was also present, assisting police with their initial investigation.

Officer-In-Charge of the Northern Region, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shanta Knowles revealing to reporters that officers received an anonymous tip just before 8am that a vehicle was in bushes near the Grand Bahama Highway.

Just last week, police issued a missing persons flyer for 49-year-old Elkino Miller of #3 Gold Coin Lane.

Some questioned if the victim is the missing man but ACP Knowles said they could not identify whether the body was that of a man or woman.

Tears of pain coming from a mother who believes the burnt body found is her son.

ACP Knowles maintained the mother’s grieving is no indication that the victim found is their family member.
